Natural Law, Universal Law, Divine Law, or just The Law is a very important subject to us here at Unity of Divine Creation Ministry. Part of our goal is to help individuals strengthen their connection to God, and you may frequently hear phrases like "aligning our will with The Will of The Divine." As we strive to do this; to grow as individuals and integrate spiritual understandings of things to help create a better world for all, the question often arises "how can I do that?" In our opinion, a very effective method is to become acquainted with and recognize The Law in its many expressions in our lives.
To begin to explain this, an important distinction must be made. The law as we understand it in our societies is generally a set of rules that are put in place to help enforce some type of behavior. These laws can be broken, and sometimes involve penalties and such things for when that happens. Universal Law, or Natural Law, is more akin to the way laws are considered in the realm of science.
The Law is immutable and unable to be "broken". It is the mechanism through which all of creation unfolds. As the many layers of creation are put into place they are also manifestations of The Law as unique expressions, and they in turn create their own laws and contracts which are unable to be broken by those things that are created under them.
The law of conservation of energy is a good example to play with here. It states that in an isolated system total energy remains constant, meaning it is neither created or destroyed but it can change form. This law cannot be broken no matter how hard one tries. But, if one is operating from the proper standing or position within the system they may be able to introduce energy. In this case, the law has not been broken, but the conditions have been changed insofar as the system is no longer isolated.
Universal Law in Society
It is no secret that most societies on Earth right now have degraded to a very low level and that we see a lot of suffering. However, a proper understanding of this principle of The Law can help awaken and empower us to bring about great change that benefits all beings. But first, a point of very high importance and a very hard pill to swallow, is the fact that Divine Law is already in effect for us here, and it is impossible for it to be any other way. What this means is that according to Divine Law, the actions that we have collectively taken are what has led us to the point we are at today.
While much rhetoric from spiritual perspectives today comes along the lines of "bringing divine law to Earth" we feel it important to make the distinction that it already is and always has been. We can certainly empathize with and understand these perspectives, but we take the approach that we do because it places the power and responsibility in our hands immediately to begin work. There is nothing to wait for, and nothing to try to manifest. It is already here, it is just on us to try to observe and understand it.
This comprehension is our stepping stone to observing the way we live our lives and starting to make the changes we want to that will create beautiful, fulfilling, abundant lives for us all! And while The Law may be one in nature, it is infinite in its expressions. Meaning, there are so many different contexts in which to apply Natural Law that we can observe it manifest in infinite ways. It is both infinitely complex in the ways we can try to understand its applications, and infinitely simple in the fact that it is immutable and so much of its workings can be understood in simple phrases like "cause and effect."
Natural Law is viewed by us at Unity of Divine Creation as Supreme, Divine, and what we as spiritual beings must adhere to above all other laws and forms of law if we are to create a paradise for all beings.
