Community building is an important aspect of our ministry. Since part of our mission is to bring together people of all faiths we find that one of the best ways to accomplish that is to focus our energies into the various areas and ways that people experience a strong connection to God, and to try to uniquely tailor and cultivate them based on the interest areas of our ministers and members. So, in addition to our core church's events, ceremonies, and ways of gathering, we create integrated auxiliaries to explore different ways people connect to God. And this isn't just for our church and members but to reach out and collaborate with other churches and organizations with spiritual missions.
Events
Regular congregation, any way you look at it, is one of the most simple ways to build a foundation for a community. The regular congregation for our ministry is through our ceremonies for each new Lunar Cycle. To be able to reach a worldwide audience we host these regularly online. Check out our events page to keep up to date on our most recent events as well as to watch recordings of previous events.
Integrated Auxiliaries
Our integrated auxiliaries are how we try to fulfill the various interests of people who are spiritual seekers. Do you feel most connected to God when you are congregating with family or friends? Or, maybe when you read the various spiritual texts from different civilizations and connect to the patterns and consistencies between their ideas to connect a bigger picture. What if the time you feel most connected to God is when you are out in nature and cultivating a garden?
"That's awesome! Let's create an environment to support you exploring that" - you could say this is the general UDCM perspective. How we connect to God can be a unique insight into not only the individual but the collective of humanity. We believe, for the most part, that how you connect to God is not as important as the fact that you are, or that you are exploring it and trying to figure it out for yourself. We believe if we can properly support this we can create a happier, more loving and harmonious society that works for everyone.
Community Forum
The more discussion we can generate, the more we can learn, integrate and grow as beings in society and in spirit. Our community forum is open to anyone who has agreed to our terms and conditions, so, if you feel so inclined, join the discussion!
